Starting in the early ’80s in Southern California, my family was heavily involved in breeding, raising and trained numerous trakehners, starting with my mom’s imported stallion Sigurd who passed away peacefully just shy of his 30th birthday. Since then we have had a second imported stallion, Fabius, and Tropez, an approved trakehner stallion by Schwalbenzug who passed away in 2005. Fabius is now 26, and through these stallions, along with an impressive broodmare band, our family has produced well over a hundred performance horses.
We’re located in the Pacific Northwest now in Olympia, Washington, and are greatly scaled back-doing what we really want to do- ride! I grew up riding in pony club, and competing in eventing and dressage. Brad and Barbara Sackett have graciously allowed me to have their premium stallion Sinatra to ride, train and compete. Sinatra has a wonderful easygoing temperament, a great sense of humor, and will do just about anything for a cookie. Sinatra and I will be showing in USDF Region 6 in 2010 at PSG.
